BASES LEGALES

Legal bases


The terms and conditions for the award of the Offshore Wind Award 2022 are as follows.

Scope: the scope of this award is NATIONAL. Nominations must exclusively reflect initiatives developed in Spain at national, autonomous community or local level.

Participants and candidacies: the award is open to any individual, institutional organisation, NGO, workers’ union, university, academic centre, municipality or other type of organisation, which fosters the deployment and advancement of offshore wind energy through an specific and/or periodic project, as well as a track record of good practices or the promotion of the best projects and actions for the development of offshore wind energy in Spain.

The Jury Will select the candidacy that has the greatest positive impact on the implementation of offshore wind in Spain in terms of awareness, commitment to an offshore wind project, local development, job creation, support of activities parallel to offshore wind, communication or dissemination of this technology.

Submission: Candidacies must be sent by email to eventos@aeeolica.org, indicating in the subject “OFFSHORE WIND AWARD 2022”, before November 1st.

The following documents need to be included in the submission of each candidacy:

1. Formal proposal explaining the reasons for presenting the candidacy.

2. Attached documentation in any format (electronic media, audioviduals, etc.) that contains:

  • Contact details of the person for the interlocutor for AEE.
  • Description and motivation of the candidacy.
  • Lis of the people involved, department or area.
  • Social partners
  • Social, economic or strategic impacts identified and their connection with the development of offshore wind energy in Spain.
  • Supports for the candidacy.
  • Any other information considered appropriate to strengthen the nomination.

The AWARD


The awards consists of an annual prize, which recognises the efforts of the candidature and will be presented during the Gala Dinner of the Offshore Wind Congress (November 22nd).

The AEE will announce the winner and issue a press release to amplify the diffusion.

Jury’s decision: the prize will be awarded to the single candidacy that obtains the majority of the jury’s votes, being aware of the possibility of the competition to be declared void. The Jury’s decision shall be indisputable and irrevocable. The jury will be integrated by a representative of the sponsoring companies from the VIP category, a representative of the AEE and a representative of the Basque Energy cluster (institutional partner).

Observations: AEE reserves the right to disseminate information about the finalist through the means and media it deems appropriate. The submission of candidacies implies full acceptance of the competition rules by the participant.

Data protection: The personal data required to participate in the competition will be processed in accordance with the rules established in Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation) and in Organic Law 3/2018 of 5 December on the Protection of Personal Data and Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPDGDD).

The data obtained through the prize nominations will be the minimum necessary to enable participation in the competition.
